Anne G. Barretta

Anne G. Barretta joins Varallo International with a lifelong passion for writing, which she has incorporated into a successful career in both the business and academic fields. Anne will be working with Vince in the Effective Business Writing program and will be coaching one-on-one with executives and managers to sharpen their professional writing skills and enhance their overall personal communication.

For the past 17 years Anne has been an Adjunct Professor at William Paterson University in Wayne, N.J. and at Ramapo College in Mahwah, N.J. teaching upper-level undergraduate and graduate communications courses.  She is also increasingly incorporating social media strategy into her curricula.  She is also a practicing public relations professional, with former and current clients in the non-profit, retail and financial fields.

Anne regularly serves as a judge for the Bronze Anvil Award sponsored by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), which annually recognizes outstanding public relations tactics and campaigns.  Her own work has been published in the Atlantic Journal of Communication and the New Jersey Presswomen Oral History Project. Last spring Anne conducted The R’s and C’s of Professional Tweeting as part of the University of Delaware Alumni Webinar Series, and was recently published in eCampus News, an online academic publication.

Anne holds a B.A. in English with a concentration in Journalism, and an M.A. in Communication Arts/Media Studies.
