Pam Sammarco, Certified Professional in Learning & Performance, has more than twenty-five years of experience as a training professional for four global companies across three industries. She supports Varallo International in serving major corporations on training, talent and OD projects, including large-scale team building sessions.
In 2009, Pam founded Green Training Associates LLC, a consulting practice that partners with organizational and higher education leaders. Pam builds green bridges to close the 21st century skills gap. Pam prepares the workforce to be competent, knowledgeable and skilled, supporting an organization’s sustainability priorities. Green Training Associates offers Sustainability Workforce Solutions with a variety programs and services targeted for training, talent and career needs.
Pam is a seasoned corporate professional. She worked for Medco Health Solutions, Inc. as a Learning & Performance Manager, Sales/Account Management. Pam performed in a start-up team to deliver strategic learning interventions for teams to maintain and grow existing clients. She established relationships with internal clients and stakeholders to create interventions designed to achieve desired business results.
Pam spent eight years as North America Region Sales Learning & Development Manager for Alcatel-Lucent where she led Performance Consulting for 14 Sales Teams (600 People) to deliver excellence in advancing sales performance. She played roles as a learning strategist, business partner and project manager.
For American Express Travel Related Services, Pam served as Designer/Project Coordinator Manager in the Global Center for Learning Excellence. Pam designed, developed and evaluated training interventions for American Express Global Corporate centers of excellence. She led a team of five training deployment coordinators to execute learning interventions.
Pam began her professional career with nine years as a Citibank Training Manager. She played a significant role where she designed, developed, delivered, and evaluated product knowledge, skills, and technology training programs for 1400 Branch Account Officers.
Pam and Vince have worked together to deliver a two-day Team Building Skills Workshop for three divisions of the KPMG New York office. In addition, Pam and Vince have been colleagues for many years in the Northern New Jersey Chapter of American Society of Training and Development (NNJ-ASTD).
Pam has served for many years on the BOD for NNJ-ASTD, including Chapter President in 2004. She received the highest honor of Charles T. Morgan Award for Lifetime Excellence in 2006, the Ralph Ganger award for Outstanding Contribution in 2000 and four Presidential Appreciation Awards. In 2011, she continues to serve ASTD as the Leadership Development VP. She holds a BA in Psychology with a minor in math and statistics and an MS in Applied Psychology with a concentration in HR Management.
