D. Vincent Varallo, senior-level consultant, has over twenty years experience as a facilitator, a coach, and a trainer with global companies. He believes that everyone can be an effective communicator and leads projects such as Presenting with Impact, Developing a Global Mindset, and Coaching for International Professionals. He founded Varallo International (VI) in 1995 and has consulted for Prudential, Bank of America, Ernst & Young, The U.S. Government, Pfizer, and BASF.
In 2013, Vince supports VI’s premier clients in the fields of public speaking, cultural competence, and business communication. This past year, Vince and his team implemented Business Communication Essentials (BCE) at Prudential and Ernst & Young. These international participants are learning to be proficient in public speaking and business writing.
Also, Vince consulted with BASF to design and develop Welcome to BASF, an on-boarding program delivered in Detroit, Houston, Charlotte, and Florham Park.
Just this past January 2013, he worked with BMW families on developing the communication skills needed to live and work in other countries.
In the past five years, he has delivered intercultural communication programs for LG Electronics, traveled much of the U.S. for Benjamin Moore conducting high-level presentations-skills courses, and led groups of after-sales professionals at BMW to sharpen their business communication essentials. Also, he partners with inlingua to deliver global programs every year at KPMG.
He has delivered programs in Shekou, China for ConocoPhillips; facilitated a high-level intervention in Vezelay, France for Corning; and led a group of senior U.S. executives at Northrop Grumman in Best Leadership Practices. His article “Global Strategic Alliances” appears in Handbook of Business Strategies.
In 1997, Chase asked Vince to be the lead trainer for Building Instructional Skills. Also, he helped write and deliver an eight-day orientation program for the launch of Chase’s Customer Service Center. In 1993, Vince designed and delivered Citigroup’s program Communication Skills for International Employees. It ran for nine years.
Vince has traveled to Phuket, Thailand to conduct team-building exercises to the international sales teams at AT&T. In 1991, he wrote and implemented an award winning global management program for AT&T in Mexico City.
Vince has served for many years on the BOD for the New Jersey Chapter of the American Society of Training and Development (NNJ-ASTD). He has received the ASTD Ralph Ganger award in 2007 and Charles T. Morgan award in 2010. In 2013, he is a member of the Executive Advisory Council (EAC), a talented group of senior- level learning leaders. He holds a BA in American Studies and an MA in English.
